An undefined and bulbous tip may give a dowdy look. Tip plasty corrects the tip to achieve a sophisticated and professional look.
With a defined and higher tip, the face becomes three-dimensional, making the face youthful and ideal. CDU tip plasty maintains the height and shape of the ideal tip for the long term, and reduces the possibility of asymmetry on the nostrils. At CDU Plastic Surgery Korea, the shape of the tip, the angle of the nose, the height, and the length need to be considered in detail to create the ideal tip shape, for an attractive look.

3zero CDU Tip Plasty
Zero droopiness over time
With our technique and through 20 years of experience, the tip height and shape are maintained well.
Zero artificial material
By using autologous cartilage, the tip plasty is performed safely.
Zero scars
No visible outside scar using the closed method rhinoplasty.
Surgery Methods
Different surgery methods, depending on the different nose heights
In cases that are not severe:
Repositioning of alar cartilage
When the height and the volume of the tip are mostly okay, but need just a little change, alar cartilage is gathered together to make the tip as natural as possible.
When the tip needs to be higher:
When gathering the alar cartilage is not enough, autologous cartilage or tissues are placed on the top of the tip.
When the tip needs to be toughened:
When the tip is upturned or the nostrils are too visible at the front, the strut of ear cartilage supports the alar cartilage.
Bulbous Tip Correction
Bulbous tip correction is especially recommended to those who have:
A bulbous and flat nasal tip.
Excess fat and tissue on the tip.
1. When the alar cartilage is wide or spread out
A portion of the alar cartilage is cut out, and the remaining cartilage gathered together. A defined and slimmer tip is then achieved by supporting the strut with autologous cartilage.
2. Excess fat and soft tissues
By removing excess fat and tissues, the skin thickness is reduced. If the height is not high enough, the alar cartilage is gathered using autologous cartilage and a slimmer tip is achieved.
In-depth Examination
How does CDU perform ideal and precise surgery using the closed method?
By performing an in-depth examination using a cutting-edge, three dimensional CT analysis, CDU Korea surgeons carefully plan possible approaches for the best result by considering the nasal bone shape, bone thickness, and the condition of the soft tissues around the nose.
Blockage of the airway:
By checking the cause of functional issues, both aesthetic and functional satisfaction can be achieved!
Nose deviation and septum deviation:
By knowing how the nose is deviated internally and externally, not only the external deviation but also the internal deviation can be corrected, solving breathing issues.
Size of septal cartilage:
By knowing the precise size and condition of the septal cartilage, the surgery duration can be reduced and possible complications from harvesting septal cartilage can be minimized.
Size and shape of the nasal bone:
By analyzing the thickness and shape of the nasal bone, osteotomy or rasping the nasal bone may be performed simultaneously.
(*3D-CT scanning may be required depending on the surgeon’s diagnosis.)
